1-Hetero substd. 6, 11-ethano-6, 11-dihydrobenzo [b] quinolizinium salts of formula (I) and their acid addn. salts or hydrates are new; R1 = H or lower alkoxy, lower alkyl or halo and is in position 1-4; R2 = H, lower alkyl, lower alkanoyloxy, halo, NO2, OH lower alkoxy, methylenedioxy, polyfluoro lower alkyl or polychloro lower-alkyl in position 7-10; R3, R4 = lower alky;l R5, R6 = H, lower alkoxy, tri-lower alkyl siliyloxy or di-lower alkylamino; or R5 + R6 = OCHR8-(CH2)nCHR9-O-; n = 0 or 1; R8, R9 = H, lower alkyl or phenyl lower alkoxy-lower alkyl; R7 = H or lower alkyl X- = anion; provided (a) when R1, R2 and R7 = H; R3, R4 = Me and X- = ClO4- , then R5+R6 is not O-CH(CH3)CH(CH3)-O- (b) R5 and R6 are not both H. (c) when R1, R2 and R7 = H; R3 and R4 = Me and X- = ClO4- then R5 and R6 are not both methoxy. Also claimed are cpds. (Ia) i.e. (I; R1, R2 and R7 = H and R3, R4 = H, lower alkoxy or Cl; R5 = lower alkoxy provided R3 and R4 are not both H) and (Ib) i.e. (I; R1, R2, and R7 = H; R3, R4 = H or lower alkyl; R5, R6 = H or dilower alkylamino provided that R3 and R4 are not both lower alkyl and R5 and R6 are not both H). |
