<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of the processor by increasing the input impedance and output impedance of a circuit and reducing a current flowing to the circuit when a CPU is in an idle state. CONSTITUTION:This processor is equipped with an electric power control means 8 which controls the power consumption of the processor by monitoring the operation state of a CPU 1 and a circuit which increases the input impedance and output impedance of the integrated circuit with an electric power control signal outputted from the electric power control means 8 to reduce the current flowing to the circuit. Namely, the input impedance or output impedance of the circuit is made high with the electric power control signal outputted by the electric power control means, which monitors the operation state of the CPU 1 and controls its power consumption, so as to places the information processor in a low-power-consumption state. Consequently, the current flowing to the circuit is reduced to decrease the power consumption of the processor.</p> |
