PURPOSE:To obtain the optical input and output device and optical input device which are used for an amplifier for optical fiber communication and easily assembled and adjusted. CONSTITUTION:A multiplexer 3 is provided on a light beam reflected by a 1st beam splitter 2 provided on the beam of amplified signal light which is made incident on a housing 8 from a 1st collimator 1 and an optical isolator 4 is provided on the light beam passing through the multiplexer 3; and a 2nd beam splitter 5 is provided on its output side linearly and a 2nd collimator 6 is arranged on the light beam reflected by the 2nd beam splitter 5. On the beam of exciting light entering the package 8 from a 3rd collimator 7, the multiplexer 3 is arranged, and the 1st beam splitter 2 is arranged on the light beam reflected by the multiplexer 3; and the 1st collimator 1 is arranged on the light beam reflected by the 1st beam splitter 2, and the angle that the exciting light beam which is made incident on the multiplexer 3 and reflected has is set to <=45 deg..
