A cyclopentane derivative represented by general formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof wherein Ar<1> and Ar<2> represent each independently phenyl, thienyl, pyridyl, indolyl, benzofuranyl or dihydrobenzofuranyl each of which may be substituted at arbitrary hydrogen atom(s) on the aromatic ring by one to four substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen, hydroxy, amino, carboxy, C1-C6 alkoxycarbonyl, mono- or di(C1-C6 alkyl)aminocarbonyl, carbamoyl tetrazol-5-yl, methylenedioxy, C1-C6 alkoxy, C2-C6 alkenyloxy, mono- or di(C1-C6 alkyl)amino, C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl and C2-C6 alkynyl; R<1>, R<2> and R<3> represent each independently hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl, or a combination of R<1> with R<2> or R<2> with R<3> represents a single bond; R<4> represents hydrogen, hydroxy or C1-C6 alkoxy, or C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl or C2-C6 alkynyl each of which may be substituted by C1-C6 alkoxy, or alternatively R<4> may be combined with R<5> to represent C1-C6 alkylidene which may be substituted by C1-C6 alkoxy, or oxo; R<5> represents hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl, or alternatively R<5> is combined with R<4> to represent C1-C6 alkylidene which may be substituted by C1-C6 alkoxy, or oxo, or is combined with R<6> to represent a single bond; R<6> represents hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl, or is combined with R<5> to represent a single bond; and Y represents -CO-R<7>, SO3H, PO3H2, tetrazol-5-yl, 2-oxo-3H-1,2,3,5-oxathiadiazol-4-yl, or 5-oxo-4H-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl. |
