PURPOSE:To obtain a powdery antifoaming agent compsn. which is stable even when long left in contact with an alkali by using, as the carrier of a silicone, a compsn. comprising starch having molecular ends not reduced and starch having molecular ends reduced in a specified wt. ratio. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. comprises a silicone antifoaming agent and its carrier which is a mixture of 95-50 pts.wt. starch (which may be a water-sol. starch, a modified starch, or a starch deriv.) having molecular ends not reduced, 7-20 glucose units, and a D.E. value of 0-8 with 5-50 pts.wt. starch (which may be as described above) having molecular ends being glucose units reduced by hydrogenation. The wt. ratio of the antifoaming agnet to the carrier is 0.1-0.5, and the compsn. in an amt. of 0.1-20wt.% is compounded into a detergent powder compsn. |
