PURPOSE:To prevent missing of component to be mounted on a printed board by installing a device for checking that a component is vacuum held or not by a suction nozzle immediately before the mounting of the component at the mounting position. CONSTITUTION:A light projector 19 and a light detector 20 are installed on both ends of C-shaped mounting board 21 with the nozzle between the projector 19 and the detector 20. When the light from the light projector 19 is interrupted by a component and does not reach the light detector 20, the component is judged to be present. A clearance is maintained between the mounting plate 21 and a base 15 positioned at a mounting station in such a way that the supporting part of both ends of the mounting plate does not touch a nozzle when a rotary table 13 moves to the next station. The mounting plate 21 is moved in X direction by an X-Y table driven by a driving source. Therefore with the rotation of a head 15 at an angle correction station, whatever position the nozzle is moved, the light from the light projector 19 passes through the desired position of the component vacuum held by the nozzle. |
