摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of noises at the time of the low-frequency switching of a reactor connected to the inverter of a power supply device for lighting a high-intensity discharge lamp such as a metal halide lamp. CONSTITUTION:Diodes 13, 14 are connected in parallel with switching elements 11, 12, and capacitors 15, 16 are connected in series between the elements 11, 12. Switching elements 31, 32 and 37, 38 are connected in series between the capacitors 15, 16. A reactor 21 is connected between the node of the element 11, 12 and an input terminal. A second reactor 27 with center tap for an output is connected between the elements 31 and 32. The reactor 21 is connected at their ends to seventh and eighth switching element 28, 29, respectively, which are connected to the first and second capacitors. The element 31 is switched at high frequency, the element 38 is switched at low frequency, and the element 28 is switched at low frequency during the off of the element 31.
