Headphones with electrostatic push-pull transducer

The invention is directed to headphones having at least one headphone capsule which contains an electrostatic push-pull transducer. The push-pull transducer comprises not only the diaphragm and corresponding counter electrodes but also feed lines for the voltages. Whilst the diaphragm is electrically charged with a polarization voltage, it is necessary to supply the signal voltages highly amplified to the two counter electrodes. This is why high-voltage amplifiers are required which are operated by a power supply. To utilise, if possible, the full power for sound conversion, it is proposed also to integrate the high-voltage amplifier in the headphones. The feed lines connected to the headphone capsule therefore only comprise lines for the as yet unamplified signal voltage and lines for the power supply to the integrated high-voltage amplifier.
