PURPOSE:To obtain the subject peptide useful for preventing infectious diseases caused by a bovine small piroplasmosis protozoa, i.e., Theileria sergenti. CONSTITUTION:This peptide comprises the one consisting of a partial amino acid sequence of the 33Kd peptide amino acid sequence of a bovine small piroplasnosis protozoa and contains the amino acid sequence of Lys-Glu-Lys. Preferably, peptides of the formulas I and II. The peptide is preferably used as a vaccine comprising this peptide and a substance having an adjuvant activity.
