摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized and lightweight optical information processor allowed to omit complex matching of optical axes by forming an light guide, a lens means and a photodetecting means on the same substrate. CONSTITUTION:Laser light radiated from a semiconductor laser 11 is made incident upon the light guide 21 on the substrate 12 and a collimating lens 22 converts laser beams into parallel light. Collimating lenses 41-43 are arranged to condense the parallel light in the light guide 21 and the light projected from the light guide 21 is condensed on points P1-P3 by grating couplers 51-53. A photodetection part 30 on a substrate 13 detects light reflected obliquely downwards from the laser spots P1-P3 and a center photodetecting element 31 is arranged to read out information and detects the reflected light from the spot P1. Photodetecting elements 34, 35 are prepared for error detection and detects the reflected light from the spots P2, P3. Since a diffraction grating, a mirror, a 1/4 wavelength plate, etc. are not used, the device can be reduced at its size and weight.
