PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized hydrogen meter, which can detect hydrogen generated on the sodium side early at a high S/N ratio without requiring an ultra-high vacuum and is easily handled. CONSTITUTION:A sampling bypass 11, in which there is sodium, and the inside of a vacuum chamber 12 are parted by a diaphragm 13 such as nickel, platinum, palladium etc. The filament 15 of an electrode for emitting thermions a shield electrode 16 and a collector electrode 17 are mounted into the vacuum chamber 12. The diaphragm 13 is grounded while impulse voltage 19 is applied between the diaphragm 13 and the filament 15. Electronic blocking voltage 20 is applied between the filament 15 and the shield electrode 16. An ammeter 18 is connected between the collector electrode 17 and a ground. |
