The device proposed includes linear-feedback shift registers (MLS) in both the data source (IQ) and the data sink (IS), the shift registers generating character strings which are identical for each timing pulse. The character string arriving at the data sink is communicated to the data source, where its identity is compared with the data-source character string. In order to increase access-authorization security, it is also possible to introduce, at the data sink, at selected points in the character string, random bits which are neglected during processing at the data source.
