1353166 Pivotal assembly ROLAMITE INC 24 May 1971 [9 June 1970] 16720/71 Heading E2F [Also in Division G1] In a pivotal assembly of a pointer and a support, each being made from sheet material and each having openings therein aligned along the pivot axis, the openings are arranged to provide three pairs of opposed edges preventing relative displacement of the pointer and support in three orthogonal directions relative to the pivot axis. As shown, Figure 4, a U- shaped pointer 70 has aligned notches engaging notches in a circular support 86 similarly pivoted to a further support 72. Alternatively, Figures 1 and 2, the pointer 20 may have a slot 34 with a central part offset from the ends, Figure 2. The support 22 passes through the slot 34 and is divided by two longitudinal slots 42, 44 into three strips 56, 58, 60 corresponding to said three parts of the slot 34. The pointer has three tabs 52 engaging in apertures 54 in the support. The embodiment of Figure 4 may have a further circular support similarly pivoted between the supports 86 and 72. |
