A process for producing a mineral lightweight insulation board has the following most important process steps: - preparation of a binder slurry, - stirring glass fibres into the binder slurry, - mixing a foam into the binder slurry, - homogenising the mixture to give a foam concrete, - discharging the foam concrete into a mould for forming a shaped cake, - partial stiffening (setting) of the shaped cake, - cutting the shaped cake into individual boards and - autoclaving the boards to cure them. <IMAGE>
