<p>The invention relates to a litter box which cleans itself automatically, and separates the soiled litter from the clean litter, storing the soiled litter in a receptacle and replacing the consumed litter by clean reserve litter. Said litter box comprises a sieve (1) configured like an endless web, a continuous transport means (8) for taking up the litter to be recycled, circulating in a tube (5, 7, 9, 11) and, optionally, a system (6, 15, 16, 18) comprising a bin bag facilitating the filling of the receptacle (21) even in a substantially horizontal position.
