<p>The lens (closure glass) for a motor vehicle signalling light has at least one overthickness (4, 5, 9) as well as an optical element of the type having a multiplicity of juxtaposed projecting balls (6), the said optical element being in the vicinity of the said overthickness (4, 5, 9) and having a region (7, 8, 12, 13) producing a transition with the said overthickness (4, 5, 9), the said transition region (7, 8, 12, 13) being of constant maximum thickness, the pitch (L) of the projecting elements (6) of the optical element being constant in the said transition region (7, 8, 12, 13).
