<p>A device for governing the idling rpm of an internal combustion engine which prevents a leakage. A closing element is axially and radially displaceable by a second spring and maintained to be angularly movable on the valve element and/or the regulator housing. Frustoconical surfaces are advantageously embodied on the closing element, the regulator housing and the valve element, so that the closing element can be centered on the conical seats. The springs are disposed parallel to each other, and the closing element is acted upon by a spring force in the closing direction and the valve element is acted upon by a spring force in the opening direction. The device is particularly suited for governing the idling rpm of a mixture-compressing, spark-ignition internal combustion engine by means of controlling the quantity of aspirated air flowing in a flow line to the engine.</p> |
