摘要 PURPOSE:To keep a photovoltaic element stable in performance by a method wherein a coating material coming into direct contact with the surface of a transparent conductive layer and the transparent conductive layer are enhanced in adhesion to each other so as to restrain the coating material from being separated off from the photovoltaic element when the photovoltaic element is used outdoors for a long term, and a collecting electrode and the transparent conductive layer are enhanced in adhesion to each other so as to restrain a collecting electrode and a transparent conductive layer from increasing in contact resistance between them. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor light active layer 103 serving as an optical conversion member and a transparent conductive layer 104 serving as a second electrode are formed on a conductive base 101 which serves also as a first electrode for the formation of a photovoltaic element, or a semiconductor optical active layer is sandwiched in between a conductive base and a transparent conductive layer to form a photovoltaic element, wherein a monomolecular layer of silane coupling agent is formed on the transparent conductive lawyer.
