PURPOSE:To form an electrophotographic sensitive body having sufficient sensitivity when used for high-speed or small-sized copying machines by specifying a ratio of the average particle diameter of a polycyclic quinone compound to that of a bisazo type command or phthalocyanine type compound. CONSTITUTION:An electric charge generating layer contains at least one of the bisazo type compounds or phthalocyanine type compounds and at least one of the polycyclic quinone type compounds, and the ratio of the average particle diameter of the polycyclic quinone compound to that of the bisazo type compound or phthalocyanine type compound is regulated to >=2, preferably, 2-20, and if this ratio is less than 2, sensitivity is lowered, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to have sufficient sensitivity especially when it is used for high-speed or small-sized copying machines. |
