PURPOSE:To provide an ink image excellent in fastness on a recording medium by transferring the ink image on a transfer medium to the recording medium under low transfer pressure in a transfer type ink jet printer. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet recording method consists of a process writing ink containing at least water, a colorant and a resin emulsion with an MFT (minimum filming temp.) of 50 deg.C or higher on a transfer drum 1 whose surface temp. is heated to the MFT of the resin emulsion or higher, a process concentrating the ink image 50 on the transfer drum 1 and a process transferring the ink image 50 to recording paper 6. |
