Method and device for supplementary fuel metering in an internal combustion engine

A method is indicated for supplementary fuel metering in an internal combustion engine with a mixture-control unit, in which an additional, predetermined quantity of fuel is added to the air intake of the engine and the output signal of the mixture-control unit is set to a threshold value when its actual value lies below the threshold value, the threshold value being determined as a function of the engine temperature. The said method makes unfavourable adjustments of the output signal of the mixture-control unit a less frequent occurrence than in known methods. <IMAGE>
