The invention relates to a tank for highly volatile liquids, especially for fuels of motor vehicles powered by means of internal combustion engines, with a filler neck which can be closed by a cap, an outlet connection and a ventilation and venting device. In order to reduce the quantity of vapours occurring and to prevent a formation of condensate in the tank, the tank (2) is provided with a diaphragm (4), which divides the tank interior into a liquid chamber (6) and a chamber (8) connected to the atmosphere, the filler neck (10) being connected to the liquid chamber (6) and the ventilation and venting device (18) to the chamber (8). <IMAGE>
