PURPOSE:To judge whether respective areas belong to the same object or not when the binary picture of the objects is expressed as the plural independent areas and to execute a post-processing such as appropriate exterior inspection by giving them the same numbers. CONSTITUTION:The video signal of the object from a TV camera 1 is binarization-processed in a binarization processing part 2, and a feature detection part 3 obtains position feature quantity showing the approximate degree of the two adjacent and independent areas. A comparison part 4 compares position quantity with a set point, and a judgement part 5 judges whether the two independent areas belong to the same object or not based on the comparison. A numbering part 6 gives the same or different numbers to the two independent areas based on the judgement. Position feature quantity is a distance between the centroids of the two areas or a distance obtained by measuring angles which are most detached in respective circumscribing squares when sides circumscribed the respective areas set the squares in the directions of X and Y in the directions of one side and other sides. |
