PURPOSE:To realize a video telephone set provided with an extension function able to send picture data and voice data even when not attended. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a video telephone set 100 adopting a liquid crystal display section and a video telephone station 150 incorporating an automatic message recording function extending or compensating a function of the video telephone set, and the video telephone station is provided with a handset 153, a key switch 154 such as a key for setting automatic message recording, a display section 155 displaying the automatic message recording state or the like, a message memory storing picture data and voice data sending a message to the opposite party at automatic message recording and the control section and storing picture data and voice data sent from the opposite terminal equipment at automatic message recording and a power supply circuit applying a predetermined DC voltage to a modem section, an I/O port and the video telephone set 100. |
