PURPOSE:To obtain an org. photoconductive material excellent in characteristics such as chargeability, charge holding power, sensitivity, residual potential and formation of picture and to eliminate the variation of characteristic even in repeated use for a long period by using a specified hydrazone as the carrier transfer material. CONSTITUTION:This org. photoconductive material consists of a hydrazone shown by the formula. In the formula, A and B are the same or different hydrogen atom, alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon ring group or substituted or unsubstituted aromatic heterocyclic ring group, (m) is 0 or 1, (n) is 3 to 6, and R is hydrogen atom or methyl. The photosensitive layer of an electrophotographic sensitive body contains a hydrazone shown by the formula, and the hydrazone is synthesized by a well-known method. Namely, an aldehyde is allowed to react with the equimolar or slightly excess hydrazine or their mineral acid salt in a solvent such as methanol and ethanol to synthesize the hydrazone.
