OPTICAL DISC AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To manufacture a highly reliable optical disc which is fixed to a disc clamping device by a magnet clamping method at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:A disc substrate 1 has a center hole 1a, a recording layer 2 on one of its surfaces and, further, a recess 1b on the recording layer 2 side surface coaxially around the center hole 1a. A pair of the disc substrates 2 are bonded to each other so as to have the respective recording layers 2 face each other. A disc-shaped attracting plate 4 made of ferromagnetic material is stored in a space composed of the respective recesses 1b of the pair of the substrates 1.
