<p>PURPOSE:To rapidly deal with variation in a demand amount of product nitrogen gas by using not only cold generated from an expansion turbine but also liquid nitrogen from a liquid nitrogen reservoir as cold. CONSTITUTION:Supplies of liquid nitrogens from an expansion turbine 34 and a liquid nitrogen reservoir 7 are used together, the turbine 34 is rotated at a predetermined speed thereby to generate a predetermined quantity of cold, and residue of the cold (including its variation) is furnished with the liquid nitrogen. That is, in case where variations in demand amounts of product nitrogen gases of daytime and night are largely different (more in the daytime), entire cold of the night is furnished by the turbine 34 (night power is low cost), insufficient amount of the cold in the daytime is supplemented by the liquid nitrogen from the reservoir 7. Thus, variations in the demand amount of the nitrogen gas can be rapidly dealt with.</p> |
