Process for setting up basins for sewage treatment

Tanks and basins which are to be installed underground, e.g. for collecting, storing, treating or monitoring sewage and the like are produced from reinforced concrete. The inner surfaces which come into contact with the hazardous sewage contents have to be coated in order to render them impermeable and resistant. For the production of such tanks or basins on site, it is proposed to form the inner coating as an inner-shuttering hollow body which is prefabricated in the factory, to fit the reinforcement around said hollow body and to introduce the concrete into the outer shuttering erected thereafter. All that need then be transported to the site of installation is the reinforcement and the hollow body which may, in some circumstances, still be in the subdivided state. Inlet fittings and other directional fittings already form a constituent part of the prefabricated inner-shuttering hollow body.
