摘要 Object and aim: In contrast to traditional hot-water storage tanks with internal heat exchanger, the boiler output is able to change over to hot water independently of the volume of the storage tank, with the same switching characteristics. It is possible to differentiate between heating-up and reheating. Solution to problem: By using an external heat exchanger, it is possible to adapt the heating of the hot water, as desired, to the output of the heat generator. As a result, the volume of the storage tank is independent of the output of the heat generator. By using two temperature sensors, the same switching characteristic known from traditional storage tanks with internal heat exchanger is achieved. The first sensor (1) switches on the external hot-water production when the desired temperature is undershot. The water to be heated is drawn off at the bottom of the storage tank (4), heated to desired temperature and forced into the top of the storage tank until it passes through the supply line to the external heat exchanger (3). There, the second sensor (2) is located, which switches off the hot-water production when the desired temperature has been reached. The storage tank, which is externally charged, can be adapted to any boiler output. In traditional heating installations, hot-water production is given priority, i.e. the heating-system circuit is switched off when hot water is being produced.
