<p>A sod (10) comprising a root support matrix (18) that itself comprises a mixture of soil and/or sand and shredded carpet pieces (20) has a beneficial plant adjuvant disposed on the shredded fabric pieces (20), preferably in the form of shredded carpet pieces (20).
