<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a binder resin composition improved in gloss of film, compatibility with other resins, petrol resistance, durability, etc., by applying a treatment consisting of four specific steps to an '-olefin polymer and/or a propylene-alpha-olefin copolymer. CONSTITUTION:This binder resin composition is formed by a treatment comprising graft-polymerizing an alpha-olefin polymer and/or a propylene-alpha-olefin copolymer with 0.5-10wt.% of an alpha,beta-unstaturated carboxylic acid and/or an anhydride thereof, chlorinating the graft polymer, reacting the product partially with a polyester polyol, and graft-polymerizing the resultant polymer with a radical- polymerizable unsaturated monomer preferably containing a hydroxylic compound or a glycidyl compound in the proportion of 5-40wt.%.</p> |
