PURPOSE:To exactly identify the shape of a key plate that is to be checked, and to quickly execute comparison and verification of the key plate to the shape information of a reference key plate. CONSTITUTION:The shape of a key plate is identified with a shape identification device 36, and key information is generated with a shape information generating device 38c. Corresponding shape information is retrieved, based on the key number inputted from the outside, by operation of a key number retrieval device 38b out of the shape information stored in an IC card 11. The shape information generated by the shape information generating device 38c is compared with the shape information retrieved by the key number retrieval device 38b, and correspondence between both information is judged by a judgement device 38d, and the result of the judgement is displayed on an LED display unit 18. |
