The invention relates to a dividing table for arranging a clamping device or a workpiece for machining in selectable angular positions. The dividing table has a locating disc (3), a perforated disc (12) connected to the locating disc (3) in such a way as to be locked against rotation, and a rotary drive (8) for the locating disc (3) and the perforated disc (12). Bores (14) are provided in the perforated disc (12). The bores (14) together with the bolts (18) allocated to them form a preindexing device. In addition to this preindexing device, there is a precision indexing device which consists of a longitudinally displaceable precision indexing bolt (21) and one precision indexing bore (17) each allocated to each bore (14) of the preindexing device. The precision indexing bolt (21) can be inserted into the precision indexing bore (17) when the preindexing bolt (18) is located in the corresponding preindexing bore (14). Furthermore, a friction brake (9) is provided by means of which the locating disc (3) and the perforated disc (12) can be connected to the housing (1) in such a way as to be locked against rotation. <IMAGE>
