For a motor-vehicle door articulation with an integrated doorstop, consisting of a carrier part, pivotably articulated on the door column on the one hand and on the door on the other hand about mutually parallel axes, in each case by means of at least one hinge, and of a control rod which is assigned to the carrier part and which is articulated on the door and on the door column, in each case about an axis arranged offset to the axis of articulation of the carrier part both in and transversely to the direction of travel, as well as of a device, formed by a torsion-bar doorstop, for braking and stopping the door in at least one position deviating from the closing position, provision is made, for the space-saving accommodation of the torsion-bar doorstop, for combining the torsion-bar doorstop in constructional terms with at least one hinge assigned to the articulation of the carrier part or the control rod and for the torsion-bar doorstop to cooperate, by means of a spring-loaded catch arm arranged on a hinge half located on the carrier-part side, with a catch disc which is arranged on a hinge half located on the door-column or door side and which has catch marks. <IMAGE>
