A device for the production of hollow bodies by forming a tube by the internal high-pressure method, has a forming ram (1) which is provided at the free end of a hydraulic cylinder-piston arrangement (2) and is provided with pressure-medium feed (3) which is connected to the high-pressure side of a pressure intensifier (4). With such an apparatus, it is possible to achieve significantly higher internal pressures than hitherto if the pressure intensifier (4) is arranged and secured between the forming ram (1) and the free end of the hydraulic cylinder-piston arrangement (2). <IMAGE>
