PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase efficiency in a layout design by a method, wherein after an alternate wiring is recognized, information on specifying the alternate wiring is stored, and after the wiring is ended, the alternate wiring is modified based on the specified information. SOLUTION: When a wiring is made between a plurality of cells, an alternate wiring is recognized with a recognizing means 12, and the information of specifying the alternate wiring is stored by storing means 13. After the wiring is once ended, the alternate wiring is modified based on the stored information by wiring modifying means 15 or an operator. Thus, alternate wiring is not modified, since the alternate wiring is difficult to be extracted in a layout step, and when inconveniences due to the alternate wiring are ascertained in a next circuit analysis step, it is possible to prevent the backing of step such as sending back to the layout step to modify the alternate wiring by receiving the above. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently carry out a layout design.
