PURPOSE:To prevent a digital protective relay from operating at an erroneously inputted new setting value at the time of changing the setting of the relay. CONSTITUTION:When it is confirmed in Step 20 that the setting of a digital protective relay is being done from the presence/absence of inputs to the setting operating section of the relay, the process proceeds to Steps 22 and 24. The presence/absence of the inputted new setting value and, when the input is made, whether or not the new value falls within an inputting range are checked and, when the new value is out of the range, it is indicated that the inputted value is abnormal and the process returns to Step 22. When the inputted value falls within the range, the process proceeds to an AC input comparing section 40. The present AC input value is compared with the new setting value and when a discriminating condition 'AC input value >= new setting value' is 'Yes', the relay operates with the new setting value. Therefore, the information is indicated by flickering the operation displaying section of the relay so as to give the operator warning. After warning, the process returns to Step 22. When the condition is 'No', the process proceeds to the next step and, when 'process is completed' is selected, a setting change completing process is started and, thereafter, the relay is operated at the new setting value. |
