PURPOSE:To easily produce the full color liquid crystal display device by forming pads consisting of a material having an electrical conductivity and light shieldability in the joint parts between display pixel electrodes and the drain parts of thin-film transistor(TFTs). CONSTITUTION:A silicon layer 8 is deposited on a transparent insulating substrate and is patterned, by which gate insulating films 11 are formed. Metal is then deposited therein and gate wirings 2 are formed. The source and drain parts 9 of the TFTs are formed in a self-matching manner and an insulating film 12 is formed. Contact holes 6 are formed in the source and drain parts of the TFTs. The pads 7 having the electrical conductivity and light shieldability are formed of the metal in the source wirings 1 and the drain parts of the TFTs. Further, an insulating film 13 is formed and is opened with contacts on the pads 7. Color filters 14 are so applied as to correspond to three primary colors of R, G, B. The pixel electrodes 5 are formed of ITO(indium tin oxide) after patterning including the contact holes 6 is executed. |
