The diaphragm spring clutch mechanism comprises a cover (10), a diaphragm spring (11), assembly means pivotally attaching the diaphragm spring to the said cover, and at least one pressure plate (14), in which the said assembly means comprise, on the one hand, a ring clip (27, 427) and, on the other hand, retention tabs (29), of a single piece with the cover and forming, at their end, a wedging elbow (34).
