PURPOSE:To make a distribution constant-type circulator for great power small- size by coating the edge surface, at least, in the surface of a center conductor with a dielectric material. CONSTITUTION:Edge surface 4 of center conductor 2 which is placed on the circumference edge of ferrimagnetic material 3A is coated with dielectric material, which has a dielectric constant higher than air, so that edge surface 4 may be prevented from being exposed to air directly. A highest voltage is applied to this edge surface 4, and dielectric material 5 having a high dielectric strength displaces this part, and simultaneously, the electric field intensity of the surface of this part is weakened due to the high-dielectric constant material provided in edge surface 4. Since these function effects bringing discharge prevention are obtained multiplicatively, the distribution constant-type circulator for great power can be made small- size. |
