<p>An integral liquid pump and drainback valve for use in pumping popcorn popping oil. A two-part housing is formed with one part (12) having cavities forming inlet (22) and outlet (24) passages extending from an impeller cavity (16). A second part (14) is formed with inlet (38) and outlet (40) ports and a shuttle valve cavity (42) connecting those ports. The inlet and outlet passages and the inlet and outlet ports, respectively, are in fluid communication with each other when the two parts are secured to each other. A resilient biasing means (48) in the shuttle valve cavity moves the shuttle valve (46) to a position wherein a fluid path is provided between the inlet and outlet ports when the pump impeller is not driven.</p> |
