The pick-and-place assembly comprises an input shaft rotatably mounted in a housing and having a lift cam and a translator cam mounted on it, first and second output shafts rotatably mounted in the housing transverse to the input shaft and a first cam follower mounted on the first output shaft and engaging the translator cam, and a second cam follower mounted on the second output shaft and engaging the lift cam. A carriage plate is disposed in the housing and has a first set of V-rollers mounted on it for slidably engaging respective V-tracks mounted on a carriage guide bar in the housing. The carriage plate has a second set of V-rollers mounted on it and positioned to slidably receive respective V-tracks mounted on a translator bar. A translator arm has a first end mounted on the first output shaft and a distal end positioned to engage the translator bar such that when the input shaft is rotated, the translator arm imparts horizontal movement to said translator bar. A lift arm has a first end mounted on the second output shaft and a distal end connected to the carriage plate such that when said input shaft is rotated, the lift arm impacts vertical movement to the carriage plate and the translator bar. |
