The invention relates to a punching tool for cutting sheet-like material, in particular stacked paper, having a front cutter part (2) which exhibits a preferably continuous cutting edge and consists of a wear-resistant material, in particular a hard-metal material, having a rear cutter part (3) against whose front end surface there bears the base surface, remote from the cutting edge (1), of the front cutter part (2), and having connecting elements which connect the front cutter part (2) to the rear cutter part (3). In the case of said punching tool, each of the connecting elements exhibits a pin (10) which, over part (10') of its length, is fixed in a blind hole (8), which penetrates from the base surface into the front cutter part (2), and, by means of its part (10'') which juts out beyond the base surface, engages into a hole (9) which penetrates from the front end surface into the rear cutter part (2). <IMAGE>
