A computer program arranged to graphically represent subsurface changes in the distribution of electrical conductivity within the earth comprises: a process for receiving data related to the surface electrical and magnetic field vectors in a plurality of directions for a period of time; a process for processing the data to produce an impedance phase tenor from the amplitude and phase spectra for at least one frequency and a process for representing the impedance phase tenor graphically on a display.
