Decorative metal grid fixed between walls - has grooved pins driven through rods and screwed tubes for rock drills

The metal grating can be of any ornamental configuration, and is easily fixed in position by anchoring between two masonry walls. Tubes (20) are screwed onto end external threads (11) on a number of rods (10). At each tube end there is a plate (22a) with a protruding rock-drill (22b) welded on, 1 - 3 cm in length. There is an internal thread (24) over part tube length, and an adjoining wider smooth section (25), deformed for application of a turning tool. Each tube has a splined pin for knocking through a hole passing diametrally through tube and rod. This may also be used on concrete walls.
