<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method and a device for processing documents capable of shortening working time as compared with the case of using a conventional character recognizing device and typing characters from a keyboard for which operations are easy and the need of an operator provided with professional knowledge is obviated. CONSTITUTION:Whether or not to perform the character recognition processing of stored information when images are stored in a storage area and write to the document during editing is instructed is judged in a step S5-2 and the step S5-4. When it is judged that the character recognition processing is to be performed, the stored images are segmented in character images in the step S5-5, the segmented character images are sent to a character recognition part in the step S5-6, character codes are obtained from the character recognition part in the step S5-7 and the obtained character codes are written in the document during the editing in the step S5-8.</p> |
