TREATMENT OF FIBER

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a method for treating a fiber by fixing PTFE fine particles on the surface of a polyester fiber or an aramid fiber so as to reduce the frictional resistance of the surface. CONSTITUTION:This treatment method of a fiber comprises applying an aqueous dispersion of a polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) to a polyester fiber or an aromatic polyamide fiber (an aramid fiber) in an amount of 5 to 30wt.% based on the fiber weight and subsequently irradiating it with ultraviolet pulse laser of 240 to 310nm wave length under the atmospheric pressure at the ordinary temperature.
