Shown and described is a press, in particular forming press, having a ram (2) which is actuated by a hydraulic drive (10, 11), via a rack (12), via two crank wheels (13, 14) meshing with the rack (12), and via a plurality of connecting rods (19, 20), and which reaches its bottom turning point in each case in the central region of a rack reciprocating stroke.
