The invention pertains to a hydraulic braking system fitted to a motor vehicle having at least one electrically controlled braking function, and comprising at least one master cylinder (1), an electric pump (2), first and second brake motors (3, 4), respective first and second solenoid valves (5, 6) and a low pressure reservoir (7). In addition to a conventional storage chamber (8), the reservoir (7) includes an access chamber (13) cooperating with the storage chamber (8) to form a simplified distributor providing additional switching capabilities which can be used for a new braking function.
