BIDIRECTIONAL WAVELENGTH-DIVISION-MULTIPLEXED PASSIVE OPTICAL NETWORK

A two-way WDM-PON(Wavelength Division Multiplexed Passive Optical Network) is provided to perceive the failure of the distribution fibers and trunk line by sensing WDM-PON comprised of the subscriber equipment. A control unit(273) sends and receives the multiplexed optical signal. A local node receives multiplexed optical signal and re-multiplexes the light signal. An optical network unit sends and receives the local node and de-multiplexed optical signal. The trunk line optical cable for the working and protection connects the central base station and local node. The dispersion optical cable for the working and protection connects the local node and optical network unit. When failure is in the working dispersion or the trunk line optical cable, the optical network unit sends and receives the optical signal through the dispersion for the protection and trunk line optical cable.
